I am no longer accepting new patients. I am only taking consultations on forensic issues relating to divorce and child custody. 

As a Psychiatrist and Psychoanalyst, I have trained in working with children, adolescents, families and adults. In addition, I have studied medical and behavioral treatments, alternative treatments, and all aspects of verbal and play therapy. I have been engaged in teaching dynamic psychotherapy at Harvard and Tufts Medical Schools, the Boston Psychoanalytic Institute and the PINE Psychoanalytic Center for the past 35 plus years. From my work with children and my study of child development I have come to know that there are important non-verbal aspects in all forms of treatment and not everything can be communicated in words. My treatment focuses on deep unconscious forces that shape our behaviors. Many treatment plans address immediate and urgent problems and some are only brief consultations. When clearly identified, deep-seated problems require therapies of depth and duration. In the following pages you can read more about my approach to Adult, Adolescent and Child therapy.
